3 The Moorings is a two bedroom, well presented, ground floor apartment in the popular, waterside development 'The Moorings' in Kingsbridge, South Devon. A private terrace leads out to level communal gardens for guests to enjoy the water and countryside views, if that's not enough to tempt you there is exclusive estuary access for those keen to take their own kayaks and SUPs direct from The Moorings!
Inside this delightful apartment continues to afford stunning views of the changing tides of the estuary, inviting an abundance of wildlife, along with a gentle buzz of boating activity whatever the weather, a perfect retreat for couples, friends or families.
A short, level, stroll leads you into the centre of Kingsbridge, boasting a variety of shops, pubs, eateries, galleries, a cinema and pop up markets and a leisure centre with indoor pool ensure a varied stay, along with convenient supermarkets to The sought-after town of Salcombe from which the beaches of North and South Sands can be enjoyed, or hop on the foot ferry to East Portlemouth, all just a fifteen minute drive away. Within a thirty minute drive is historic Dartmouth and the bohemian hub of Totnes. Scenic, sandy shores of Thurlestone and Bantham beaches along with access to the South West Coast Path are all within five miles.
The Moorings itself is an impressive development situated on the water’s edge of the beautiful Kingsbridge/Salcombe estuary and occupies probably the best situation in Kingsbridge. Set in attractive, shared, landscaped and enclosed gardens alongside the estuary, with occasional seating providing an idyllic spot to appreciate the views. The wooded banks and meadows on the opposite side are a designated area of outstanding natural beauty. Electric gates secure the entrance to The Moorings and there are designated parking spaces for each apartment and further visitor parking too.

Access to the Estuary and Water Sports Equipment
There is a small slipway from the communal garden area directly to the estuary which guests are welcome to use. Should you wish to bring water sports equipment (paddleboards/kayaks etc) with you, there is a gravel area at the far end of the garden, overlooking the estuary, with a chain attached to the wall where you can store equipment whilst you are staying at the apartment.

There are two Electric Vehicle (EV) charge points located in the visitor’s car parking area.
The EV charge points are supplied by Intelligent Charging Systems and are operated via a mobile phone App called 'Charge Assist'. The ‘Superfast’ 11kW, Mode 3 charge points with Type 2 sockets enable any EV to be fully charged within 4 hours. To this end, no vehicle should be parked in an EV space for more than 4 hours between 8am and 10pm or a maximum of 10 hours between 10pm and 8am. EV owners should provide their own cable with Type 2 plug. The current rate is 38.5p per kWh. Please note the rates are subject to change and are reviewed regularly.
