It is approximately one mile from the village of East Portlemouth, with ferry to Salcombe, in an idyllic location within two acres of unspoilt, partly wooded grounds. The garden borders the stream that runs into the creek and has areas of lawn with shrubs and an attractive pond. The cottage is as pretty inside as out, the owner having gone to great lengths to make this an extremely comfortable home,

Entrance hall with flagstone floor and rugs. Sitting/dining room with comfortable three piece suite, dining table and chairs, French doors to garden and patio/terrace. Second sitting room with open fire, TV with Freeserve, video/DVD, pretty window seat, door to drive. Kitchen with polished pine units, ceramic tiled worktops, oil fired Rayburn cooker, electric hob, built-in oven, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and walk-in larder cupboard. Washing machine/tumble dryer. Additional freezer in garage/boat store. Cloakroom with WC and basin. Upstairs: Dual aspect master double bedroom (5ft bed). Further double bedroom (4ft 6in bed). Two single bedrooms (3ft beds). Bathroom with bath, hand held shower attachment, basin and WC. ADDITIONAL FRIDGE IN BARN.

Outside:

Garden as previously described. Garden furniture. The owner's rowing boat is available for use on the creek at your own risk.

Please note: At spring high tides (which occur throughout the year) and for one hour either side of high water, it may be difficult crossing the fords on the tidal road that accesses the property. On these occasions it is possible to park nearby and reach the cottage using the creek footpath. Tide Tables will be forwarded to guests with their travel directions.
