Description


The Granary is a two bedroom cottage that has been lovingly restored to provide a very good quality holiday property in a fabulous village location, just a short walk from the sea and coastal footpath.  Located in the West Dorset village of Chideock, this cottage is set just off the main coast road, providing a wonderful base from which to explore the whole area. The cottage is just a short walk from the beach at Seatown. There is also easy access to the South West Coast Path which runs along this stretch of stunning coastline. The World Heritage coast, known as the Jurassic Coast, offers opportunities for fossil hunting, walking, fishing and many other activities. Those looking for rural walks will also find some exceptional countryside footpaths very close to the cottage.

There are two pubs in the village, all serving food, within walking distance as well as a small general store. The West Dorset market town of Bridport and its bustling harbour at West Bay are only a 5 minute drive away, as is the lovely seaside resort of Lyme Regis. The village is well served with regular bus routes through the village and along the coast in both directions.

Open-plan living room with lounge seating, Wood burner, Smart TV, French doors to Patio area, Dining table to seat four guests.
Kitchen with electric cooker, fridge with icebox, microwave, dishwasher and washing machine.
First floor: 
Bedroom 1 with two 3ft single beds.  Please note the beamed ceiling height is approximately 6'1". 
Separate modern W.C. 
Second floor: 
Bedroom 2 with double bed (vaulted ceiling). 
Family bathroom with shower over bath, wash basin and W.C. 

Outside
Enclosed patio/garden with furniture. Storage shed with tumble dryer, also ideal for muddy boots, sandy beach gear or secure cycle storage.  

Parking 
Off-road parking for two cars.  One space next to the property and one in front of cottage (reduced patio seating if used).
