Hawthorn, at Buckland Court, South Devon offers guests comfortable accommodation and easy access to the coast and the pretty village of Slapton. Buckland Court is nestled deep in delightful South Hams countryside, 1.5 miles from the historic village of Slapton with its world famous nature reserve, 3 mile beach and excellent real ale pubs. Dartmouth and Kingsbridge are within 20 minute drive, both with interesting shops, fine restaurants, boat trips, sailing and much more. Totnes, a quaint Elizabethan town is 9 miles away and Dartmoor, with wonderful walking and spectacular scenery is within easy reach. Buckland Court is well situated for a wide range of indoor and outdoor pursuits including golf. A gate from the courtyard opens out to a sweep of grass and orchard (1.5 acres) including a large pond populated by ducks. There is a built in barbecue with picnic benches where guests can relax and young people can play outdoor games, Children’s adventure playhouse on stilts with a slide and a pool table/tennis table in the laundry room for those rainy days.

Tucked away in a quiet corner, with windows looking out onto the courtyard Hawthorn offers comfortable accommodation for up to 5 guests. The attractive living room has been refurbished using fresh fabrics and colours and stairs lead up to three comfortable bedrooms.

Kitchen with gas hob, integrated oven and separate microwave, fridge with icebox.
Stairs to first floor and double bedroom with 4ft 6in double bed.
Twin room with Velux window and two 3ft beds.

Family bathroom with bath, shower over, hand basin, WC and heated towel rail.
Outside
An archway in the corner of the lower courtyard (separated by a substantial gate) opens out to a large pond populated by ducks and a sweep of grass and orchard (1.5 acres) including a built in barbecue with picnic benches where guests can relax and young people can play outdoor games as well as a children’s adventure playhouse on stilts with a slide.
Parking
Car parking in the drive, not in the lower courtyard except for loading and unloading.
