Converted from the farm’s 18th-century cattle shed, Shippon Cottage has been beautifully turned into a cozy, dog-friendly one-bedroom retreat. It’s perfect for romantic getaways and special occasions.

Inside, it is full of warmth and character. The original granite walls, vaulted beamed ceilings, and soft oak flooring add to its charm. The open-plan living space is relaxed and inviting. A large sofa and chaise surround a wood-burning stove, making it a great spot to unwind with a glass of wine after a day of exploring Cornwall. The country style kitchen and dining area is very well equipped and has everything you should need.

The king-size bedroom features a luxuriously comfortable Hypnos bed, soft Egyptian cotton linen and blackout blinds. A cot can also be provided in the bedroom, making it a comfortable option for those traveling with a baby. The modern en-suite shower room is stocked with natural luxury toiletries, and fluffy towels along with bathrobes add an extra touch of comfort.

Outside, double doors open onto your courtyard, a lovely sunny spot. There is also a shared garden with seating areas where you can take in the countryside views. A gate leads into the paddock for a peaceful evening stroll.

There are 4 cottages available at Tredarrup for groups of up to 14. Please enquire if you're interested. 

Accommodation:

Ground Floor;
Open plan living space; with corner sofa, smart TV with Netflix and a wood burner.  Table and chairs to seat 2, fridge with freezer compartment, dishwasher, oven with hob, microwave and Smeg bean-to-cup coffee machine.

Bedroom 1 with 5ft king size bed, wardrobe and drawers.
Ensuite shower room with large walk-in shower enclosure, WC and basin.

Outside:

Private courtyard at the front of the cottage with table and chairs, barbeque and sun loungers.
Additional 7 acres to roam free, stunning views and a chance to meet and feed the resident pygmy goats, sheep, ducks and chickens.

Parking:

Parking for 2 vehicles in the car park, just by the cottages.

Additional Information

Included: Bed linen, towels, bath robes and beach towels (guests must provide their own dog towels). One complimentary basket of logs, kindling, and firelighters is provided. Additional logs can be purchased on-site at the handy little shop. Cot, booster chair, bathroom steps and other child & baby equipment available on request.
Internet and telephone: Ultra-fast WiFi. There is no landline, but mobile reception is generally good.
Shared Laundry room: Washing machine and tumble dryer.  A range of equipment and games to take to the beach.
Pets: Up to 2 well-behaved dog's welcome.
Electric vehicles: Please note that this property does not currently have suitable facilities for charging electric vehicles.
Short breaks: Short breaks are available all year round, except during high-season weeks, when they will be released subject to availability.
Local facilities: The nearest beaches are Port Gaverne and Trebarwith, both within 5 miles. There is a pub, café, and post office in St Teath, just over 1 mile away. The nearest shops are the Co-op in Port Isaac (6 miles) and Spar in Delabole (4 miles). Tintagel is 7 miles away. For larger supermarkets, pubs, and cafés, Wadebridge is 9 miles away.
